Things We Have Learned From Cats

March 8, 2022
Have you ever noticed that cats often have a very smug, superior look on their furry faces? If you think about it, Fluffy does have a good reason to be content. Many kitties have their owners pretty much wrapped around their paws, and are enjoying the luxurious life of being pampered pets. Of course, our feline friends also seem quite comfortable with life in general, and can be great examples for living a peaceful and happy life. Turns out, we may be able to learn a few things from Fluffy! A Bethel Acres, OK vet lists some of them in this article.

Get Lots Of Rest

If our feline pals had one golden rule, this would be it. Cats can sleep up to 20 hours a day. Most of us don’t need quite that much shuteye, but the point is still valid. Make sure you’re getting enough sleep!

Explore

Kitties are very curious, and they love investigating nooks and crannies. Go to some new places this year. This doesn’t necessarily have to mean traveling overseas. You may find some hidden gems right here in Oklahoma!

Enjoy The Sunshine

Fluffy doesn’t actually run on solar power, but she apparently missed that memo. Cats love dozing off in sunbeams! (Note: we recommend keeping kitties inside, so put one of your sleepy pet’s beds in a sunny spot.)

Be Yourself

Our feline buddies are full of adorable quirks. They also clearly aren’t very worried about what we think of them. Fluffy doesn’t care if she looks silly sprawled out in a sunbeam or draped over the back of your sofa.

Have Fun

There are few things more entertaining than a kitty hard at play. Fluffy really does have a special way of making us laugh with her silly antics. Take time to play with your furry friend every day! This is also a reminder to carve out some time for doing things you enjoy.

Show Your Love

We may like to joke about how aloof cats are, but they are actually very loving and loyal. Fluffy forms extremely strong bonds with her humans. She’s also very grateful for all of the food, care, catnip, and toys we provide her. (Your furball may show her affection in some odd ways, but that’s another topic.)
